Etay Katz is a senior partner in our financial regulation practice and co-Chairs our Bank Industry sector. He has 23 years of experience advising a wide range of financial services clients including market infrastructure providers and, central banks on the impact of regulatory regimes on their operations and in particular on the implementation of strategic transactions/projects.

Over the last five years Etay has acquired market leading expertise in FinTech transformation and digitalisation within banking, payments and financial market infrastructure. He is a recognised authority in the Digital Assets space and has been advising such clients as ISLA, AFME, Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan on their Digital Assets strategy and related implementation projects.

Etay is the author of the Investment Firm chapter in Oxford University Press' prominent publication Financial Services Law and is the General Editor of Oxford University Press' Financial Services Regulation in Europe. He has been consistently recognised as a leading individual for regulatory advice by prominent directories and is regularly quoted in the press on key regulatory matters. Etay has recently been appointed to the FCA’s Innovation Advisory Group. He is the only private practice lawyer to occupy this position.
