Nik was appointed as a Commander with City of London Police, the lead force for Economic and Cyber Crime, in March 2022. He coordinates national portfolios, including Financial Investigation, Fraud and Cyber Crime and is responsible for the Economic and Cyber Crime Academy that provides training and accreditation to a range of policing, law enforcement and private agencies. Nik’s role additionally involves oversight of the Lead Force Operations Room and the National Coordinator’s Office, which support forces and Regional Organised Crime Units to drive consistency, connectivity and professionalism across Policing in respect to Economic and Cyber Crime. Prior to his current role Nik spent 6 years in CT policing, leading Borders policing, and the Protect, Prepare and Prevent strands of the Counter Terrorism strategy for two years at a regional level, before becoming the National Coordinator for CT Prevent and lead for Safeguarding across CT policing. In his current role, Nik is passionate about transforming how early intervention and prevention are delivered to reduce the scourge of fraud and cyber crime.
