Dr. Kate McKenzie is CEO and Director of the Climate Change Legal Initiative (C2LI), having contributed to its development since its inception. She has over 20 years of experience as a lawyer-mediator, specialising in social justice, climate change law and litigation, and the law of the sea. She holds a PhD in Climate Law and Litigation, as well as an LLM in Global Environmental Law and Governance from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland, a JD with a concentration in Environmental Law from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio (USA), and a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice Performance from The Boston Conservatory, Boston, Massachusetts (USA).
