Described as “ferociously bright”, “utterly tenacious” and “held in high regard across the breadth of the Chancery Bar”, Sharif has acted in many of the largest commercial disputes in recent years, both in the UK and offshore, and recently in two of the largest matters before the English Courts: the Hewlett-Packard/Autonomy case and the Republic of Mozambique/Credit Suisse litigation. Formerly a derivatives trader in London and Hong Kong, Sharif has an in-depth knowledge and significant real-world experience of banking, the financial markets and international commerce. He is also Chair of Advocate, the Bar’s legal advice and representation charity.
