Samantha is Head of Environment and Climate Change at Slaughter and May and is a core member of the firm’s Environmental, Social and Governance practice.
She advises corporates and financial institutions on governance around, and reporting on, sustainability matters, the emergence of hard and soft law surrounding climate and broader environmental topics, the risks associated with ‘greenwashing’ and the role of transition plans in decarbonisation and wider sustainability objectives.
She regularly gives training to boards of directors and sustainability, finance and legal teams, and speaks at various ESG events, including as part of Slaughter and May’s involvement in the United Nations Global Compact.
Samantha is also a member of the firm’s Infrastructure, Energy and Natural Resources practice and Real Estate practice. In addition to advising on all areas of ESG and sustainability she provides specialist environmental, health and safety advice, both in the context of corporate, finance and real estate transactions, as well as on standalone matters.
