Riccardo is Director of Policy & Government Relations at The Payments Association, the main UK trade body for the payments ecosystem. He plays a crucial role coordinating members’ policy agenda, engaging directly with the government, Members of Parliament and key institutional stakeholders like HM Treasury, the Bank of England, the Financial Conduct Authority, and the Payment Systems Regulator. He overlooks The Payments Association relations with media focusing on our major campaigns, that include the monitoring of APP Fraud since the successful efforts that lead to the lowering of the reimbursement threshold, the delivery of the National Payments Vision, Financial Inclusion, Digital Currencies and Open Banking. He started his career in London in 2014 as Advisor to the Chief Representative of Banca d’Italia in the United Kingdom.
