Jem is the Head of Privacy & Data Protection Officer, responsible for the Bank’s privacy programme and helping the Bank to manage privacy and data protection risk.

Jem has been working at the Bank of England for 5 years and has held roles across Legal Directorate, People and Culture Directorate and Risk Directorate. Prior to joining the Bank, Jem worked in a variety of roles spanning private and public sector.

Jem is a qualified barrister and solicitor and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Competition Law (Kings College). She is also a Technical Specialist member of the Institute of Risk Management, a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and holds current CIPPE, CIPT and CIPM qualifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
