Jem is the Chief Compliance Officer at the Bank of England. She is responsible for the Bank’s internal compliance and privacy programmes and helping the Bank to manage internal compliance and privacy risk.
She has been working at the Bank for 7 years and has held roles in the Legal Directorate, People and Culture Directorate and Risk Directorate. Prior to joining the Bank, Jem has worked in a variety of roles spanning private and public sector.
She is a qualified barrister and solicitor and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Competition Law (Kings College). She is also a Technical Specialist member of
the Institute of Risk Management, a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and holds current CIPPE, CIPT and
CIPM qualifications as well as recognition as a Fellow of Information Privacy from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
