Rachael has responsibility for the delivery of all NECC objectives related to economic crime and leads its work with the private sector including JMLIT+ and our broader partnership work.

She works closely with the NCA's National Assessments Centre to ensure all stakeholders working in Economic Crime are contributing to and working with the latest understanding of the threat, and she sets out the strategic priorities for the system response in collaboration with key partners.
Her teams work with law enforcement, the private sector and Whitehall to enhance the landscape to better respond to and ultimately design out money laundering.

She joined the NECC at its launch, having previously been in the NCA's Economic Crime Command, where she had responsibility for the Criminal Finances Act notably Unexplained Wealth Orders and Account Freezing Orders, and led on the NCA role in cross government projects such as FATF. Prior to the NCA, she worked in the Cabinet Office on constitutional matters which gave her a wealth of experience in navigating policy and legislation, and working closely with Ministers at the heart of Government.
