Gabriel Callsen leads ICMA's digitalisation and standards initiatives to support the digital transformation of fixed income markets. This includes ICMA's Bond Data Taxonomy (BDT), a common language for bond data, and collaboration on the FINOS Common Domain Model (CDM), a standardised digital representation of financial products and transactions. Together, these initiatives help create a common foundation for digital capital markets, supporting interoperability, automation and straight-through-processing.
He represents ICMA in several international initiatives, including the Eurosystem's New Technologies for Wholesale Settlement Contact Group and DLT Collateral Management Expert Group, the UK's Industry Data Standards Committee, and Project Guardian, a global collaboration convened by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, where he leads the Fixed Income workstream.
Gabriel is a recognised expert on digital assets, tokenisation, artificial intelligence and innovation in global bond markets. He is a regular author and speaker on these topics and has contributed to numerous industry publications, conferences and educational programmes. Prior to joining ICMA, he worked for the European Commission and Tradeweb.
