Nick is the Stablecoins Policy Manager at the Financial Conduct Authority. He leads a team responsible for setting the requirements for UK stablecoin issuers and policy supporting their use cases e.g. payments, wholesale settlement and crypto trading. He has driven forward initiatives to test policy and engage with industry such as the Stablecoins Sprints, Regulatory Sandbox Cohort and permitting stablecoins into the Digital Securities Sandbox. Since 2022, he helped shape and devise the UK’s cryptoasset regime requirements more broadly, liaising heavily with HM Treasury, Bank of England and representing the FCA as part of the Transatlantic Taskforce and other international engagements.

Nick has over 20 years of regulatory experience, across different aspects of financial services including digital assets, retail investments, pensions and insurance.
