Senior Executive Fellow at Imperial College Business School’s Centre for Climate Finance & Investment, where he serves as Research Lead for Global Carbon Markets, and a member of the management committee of the "Singapore Green Finance Centre," which he launched in October 2020. In addition, Raúl is affiliated with King’s College London’s Faculty of Engineering, focusing on the net-zero centre, and is currently a Senior Adviser for Orchard Global, an Alternative Credit Asset Manager in London, focused on significant risk transfer (SRT) for Bank’s capital management solutions, and speciality lending. With a 30-year background in the financial industry, he held roles at the “European Bank for Reconstruction and Development” (EBRD) as Senior Banker for Energy and previously at BBVA as Global Head of Multilateral Development Banks. He is a Dr in Civil Engineering, specialising in sustainable infrastructure and energy project financing from Universidad Politécnica Madrid, Spain. Raúl is based in London.
