Tim Rowe is a Technical Specialist in the FCA’s Sustainable Finance Division (formerly ESG Division), where he has worked since the division was established in 2021. Since then, Tim has worked on a range of capital market and trading venue issues, the implementation of the FCA’s sustainable finance strategy, and publication of the FCA’s first climate-related financial disclosure (in July 2022) and net zero transition plan (July 2023).
Tim has collaborated on sustainability issues with colleagues across the FCA’s functions, from Operations, Procurement and Corporate Governance to Authorisations, Supervision, Enforcement and Innovation. Prior to this, Tim undertook a range of management roles in Policy, taking in the FCA’s response to the Covid-19 crisis (focusing on mortgages and consumer credit), its preparations for Brexit and in Markets Policy (primarily on the negotiations around MiFID 2). Tim is an experienced international negotiator, having led working groups and task forces at both ESMA and IOSCO. Prior to his 14 years at the FCA/FSA, Tim worked in a number of roles for the London Stock Exchange Group.
