Elisa Menardo recently left the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) where she headed the Government Relations and Regulatory Strategy, for the UK, Middle East and Africa. Previously, Elisa had been a member of the UK Financial Conduct Authority’s Secondary Markets Advisory Committee since its inception in 2022, Deputy Head Governmental Affairs EMEA at UBS and Head of the Public Policy function for Europe and the UK at Credit Suisse. Earlier in her career, Elisa advised on regulatory matters at other investment banks, the UK Financial Services Authority and law firm Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF), where she qualified as a solicitor in 2003. Elisa joined HSF from the European Commission, where she had worked on the protection of consumers of financial services during the introduction of the euro.

Elisa holds a degree in economics and management of public and international organisations from Bocconi University (Milan) and postgraduate legal qualifications from the College of Law (Guildford).
