Richard is a Senior Counsel at Travers Smith who specialises in technology and commercial law.

Richard works on large-scale and strategic technology projects, complex commercial contracts and business-critical agreements, including for financial market infrastructure and fintechs. The key focus area of his practice is the use of technology in the financial services and payments sector, and he is regularly called upon to advise on the contractual arrangements underpinning transactions to exploit new markets, technologies or delivery platforms.

Richard also has experience advising asset managers, banks and pension funds on regulatory compliance projects, operational resilience and the use of AI.
