Tom is Head of Legal and Regulatory Policy at the UK’s private capital industry association, the BVCA. His role involves helping government and regulators to understand the perspectives of private capital firms that make equity or credit investments in the growth of UK and European businesses, from early-stage venture through SMEs to large-cap companies. His focus is on ensuring that UK, EU and global policy and rules frameworks support private capital funds’ vital role in the business finance ecosystem, driving global investment into the UK’s real economy.
