Philip is a Partner in Eversheds Sutherland’s Global Privacy & Cyber Security Group and has over 20 years’ experience in advising on data privacy and technology matters. Philip is passionate about data driven innovation and strategy. He is an expert in data privacy, cyber security & information rights. Philip guides clients through the issues arising from the creation, licensing and exploitation of rights in content, data and software on mobile, cloud and new media platforms. Philip specialises in fraud prevention, cyber risk, data strategy, risk management, ID, biometrics, facial recognition, profiling, big data, AI, automation, behavioural targeting, loyalty and social media (and its influence). Philip is experienced in the Financial Services and Insurance, Technology, Media & Telecoms (TMT), Entertainment and Retail Sectors. However, Philip also seeks to apply experience from one sector to innovate in others. Philip is a Member of the Society for Computers & Law (SCL) and IAPP. Philip has substantial secondment experience, including as acting Head of Legal (non-contentious) for Nokia (UK).
