Kitty leads the public policy research function at Barclays, and is also a non-executive director at the local government pension pooling company London CIV. An economist by training, and a former Lambeth councillor, she served as the Labour MP for Burnley from 2005-10 including as City minister during the financial crisis. She’s a member of The Times Shadow Monetary Policy Committee and a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences.
