Rob leads PIC’s Investment Team of 130 people, managing circa £50bn of assets which is split between in-house management and external managers. Rob and his team have responsibility for PIC’s investment portfolio including strategy, ALM, derivative hedging, asset origination, management of the existing portfolio and new business pricing. PIC is focussed on bulk annuities in the UK market and the asset portfolio is centred on matching investment grade credit.

Rob was previously CIO at Friends Life, with responsibility for running investment strategies for the annuities business, with-profits and unit linked funds. He has previously worked for UBS, Dresdner Kleinwort and Towers Watson.
