With 15 years’ experience across the private and public sectors, Gregor now leads Thomson’s terrestrial and freshwater ecology teams. Gregor has worked in a diverse array of roles including policy advice to Government at the highest levels, designing and implementing novel, national green finance schemes, and managing large-scale and complex ecology projects.
Gregor specialises in developing and delivering innovative strategic schemes to improve conservation status of species and habitats. His work on District Level Licensing for great crested newts laid the foundation for the operation of flagship schemes such as Biodiversity Net Gain, Natural England’s Nutrient Mitigation Scheme, Species Conservation Strategies and the Nature Restoration Fund.
