Sophia is Equinor’s Head of Low Carbon Solutions UK Region and Business Development, specialising in the transition to low-carbon energy, hydrogen and CCUS. At DESNZ (formerly BEIS) she led CCUS Transport & Storage Strategy and drove the development of the CCS Network Code. Having returned to industry, she currently chairs UK Storage Group for the Subsurface Taskforce, and is a leading voice driving cross-industry coordination on CCS, hydrogen, and natural gas storage. Equinor are active in UK Hydrogen production, transport and storage, as well are hydrogen to Power. As a CCSA board member, she brings strategic oversight, international expertise, and a deep commitment to advancing CCS technologies and sustainable industry practices.
