Lizzie Greenhalgh is the Deputy Director for the AI Regulation and Readiness Unit. She has been working in tech policy for over six years. While covering the AI brief, she has led her team to deliver a range of major programmes including the government’s AI regulatory strategy, securing commitments from frontier AI companies through the AI safety summits and more recently the AI growth lab. Prior to this, she led on the design and set up of the Digital Markets Unit. Before this Lizzie worked in the Cabinet Office for the Head of No 10 and Cabinet Secretary leading cross-cutting strategy projects. She worked across the private and third sector before joining the civil service.
