Hugh Salway is Senior Director for Market Development and Partnerships at Gold Standard, one of the world’s leading carbon crediting standards with over 3500 projects in more than 100 countries worldwide. In this role, Hugh is responsible for Gold Standard’s partnerships with the government, corporate, investment and project development communities, as well as leading work on capacity-building, advocacy and initiatives. Prior to joining Gold Standard in 2021, Hugh worked for eight years in the British Government, most recently as its Head of International Carbon Markets, as well as other roles in HM Treasury, the Cabinet Office and the Department for Energy and Climate Change.
