Gareth Stokes is the Global Co-Chair of the firm's Technology Sector. He is also part of the leadership team of DLA Piper's global AI practice. Gareth advises on AI model development and deployment, data strategy, IT outsourcing and strategic sourcing, technology licensing, and intellectual property-driven commercial transactions. His largest engagements typically involve complex multi-jurisdictional technology programmes, including multi-supplier outsourcing arrangements, framework and call-off structures, and joint venture models. Gareth also advises on AI governance and regulatory compliance, including obligations under the EU AI Act, and regularly publishes on the evolving legal framework for artificial intelligence.
