Amir Sokolowski is the Director of Climate at CDP, bringing over 19 years of experience in climate policy, governance, and implementation. His career has spanned work with Least Developed Countries, where he supported the design and execution of climate and conservation projects, as well as the development of national legislation. Amir has collaborated extensively with governments, NGOs, and international bodies, including participation in negotiations under the UNFCCC and the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), contributing notably to Articles 6 and 15 of the Paris Rulebook.

At CDP, Amir leads teams that combine technical expertise with strategic insight to advance global climate disclosure and action. His work encompasses initiatives such as the annual Transition Plan report, RE100, and the alignment of CDP’s frameworks with leading standards including IFRS S2 and the CSRD. He also serves on the Independent Standards Board for the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHGP) and has previously been a member of the Technical Advisory Group for the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and the Transition Plan Taskforce (TPT).

Amir holds an MPhil from the University of Oxford, where he focused on environmental law within national contexts, as well as an LLB and a BA in Medieval History from Tel Aviv University.
