Cuan Coulter is executive vice president, Global Head of Asset Managers, and the head of the United Kingdom and Ireland at State Street Corporation. In this capacity he is responsible for the creation and execution of State Street’s Asset Manager segment engagement strategy globally and the governance and oversight of the UK and Ireland.
Prior to this, he was the head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at State Street’s asset management business, State Street Global Advisors. In this role, he had responsibility for leading State Street Global Advisor’s business throughout the region and was the senior-most representative of the firm with external stakeholders such as clients, regulators and fund boards.
Before to joining State Street in July 2008, Cuan was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in their investment management industry group.
Cuan is a member of theCityUK Leadership Council, and Chair of the US Market Advisory Group. He is also executive sponsor of State Street's PRIDE network in the UK, as he is adamant that inclusive workplaces lead to more engaged employees and better outcomes for clients.
Cuan is a charted accountant and has degrees in commerce and accounting from the University of Witwatersrand.
