Filip Saelens is a partner of the Employment & Benefits team of Loyens & Loeff in Belgium. He has over 30 years’ all-round experience in European and Belgian employment law, with a particular focus on reorganisations and transformations, executive remuneration, international mobility and the employment aspects of, mostly international, M&A-deals.

Filip has a strong reputation in cross-border issues and regularly advises on the employment law aspects of complex national and international transactions involving the structuring of equity pay and remuneration aspects. He has expert knowledge on management / consulting contracts, remuneration packages and agreements. He also has been involved in complex company reorganisations on a recurrent basis.

He regularly speaks at conferences on international employment issues and has written various articles on such topics. He is a member of the firmwide French and German Region teams and of the ESG team. He is a member of several international associations, such as the American Bar Association, AmCham Belgium and the American Employment Law Council. He is a live member of Clare Hall College, Cambridge.
