Iestyn is the Group Head of Compliance for Mitsubishi HC Capital UK Plc (trading as ‘Novuna’), a UK-based non-bank lender which provides: retail point of sale finance; personal lending; motor and specialist vehicle leasing; SME business lending; and invoice financing to individuals and SMEs across various sectors within the UK.

Iestyn joined Mitsubishi HC Cpaital in 2017 having spent 3 years at Ernst & Young as a Director in their Financial Services Advisory function, working with firms across the Investment Banking and Commercial Banking sector. Prior to Ernst & Young, Iestyn worked at KPMG for 10 years within their Financial Advisory Function working with firms across the financial services industry.

Throughout his career Iestyn has had a particular focus on:
• providing advice around the interpretation and application of financial services regulation (FCA & PRA) within the UK regulatory environment, with a particular focus on assisting firms across the financial sector on efficient and effective governance and control arrangements.
• the design and implementation of Conduct Risk frameworks
• the implementation of new regulatory requirements, including MiFID II
• reviewing, advising, and designing Target Operating Models and effective control and oversight frameworks
• regulatory risk identification, assessment and control framework evaluation
