Dr. Suzanne Morsfield is Chair of the Global Digital Asset and Cryptocurrency Association’s Accounting and Tax Working Group. She brings more than 15 years of data-driven international experience to her role as a thought leader in corporate reporting and regulation, currently focusing on crypto assets. She is also a member of the World Economic Forum’s Crypto Sustainability Coalition and its related Energy Usage Working Group.
In addition, Suzanne is the Global Head of Accounting Solutions for Lukka, a global software and data company serving institutions and governments engaged with crypto assets. She has held sell-side and buy-side anaylses roles at Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan, respectively. Suzanne gained additional industry and practical experience at EY, Thomson Reuters, Capco, Workiva, and Convex, among other companies. She also served as the Director of Research at Columbia Business School’s think tank, the Center for Excellence in Accounting and Security Analysis (CEASA). Suzanne joined the IFRS Foundation in 2015, where she led projects on improving the primary financial statements and related disclosures subject to IFRS-specific accounting standards. She has served on committees for both the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and the IFRS Foundation.
Suzanne's academic experience includes contributions to London School of Economics, New York University, and other US universities. She holds a PhD from the University of Arizona and has won numerous teaching and research awards. She regularly writes and speaks about regulatory developments, and on corporate reporting and ESG matters as they relate to crypto and digital assets.
