Andrew Preston heads the UK Government’s Joint Anti-Corruption Unit (JACU) based in the Home Office. JACU drives UK anti-corruption and international illicit finance activity. This includes overseeing implementation of the UK Anti-Corruption Strategy, supporting the Prime Minister’s Anti-Corruption Champion (when in post) and representing the government at the OECD Working Group on Bribery, the G20 Anti-Corruption Working Group and meetings on the UN Convention Against Corruption. On international illicit finance JACU promotes coherent cross-government efforts to tackle the greatest threats. Andrew has a professional background in governance and anti-corruption that bridges policy development, programme implementation and multilateral engagement. Andrew has held positions in London and abroad with the Department for International Development, Cabinet Office, the Foreign Office and the Home Office.
