After beginning my banking career working in branches for Abbey National/Santander, I joined Barclays in 2006 in the front office of the Corporate Bank. I moved into Sanctions in 2008 and enjoyed it so much, I’m still here. I started in the Corporate Sanctions Team working on Customer Alerts and Reviews, answering queries from the Business. In 2011, I moved into the Group Sanctions Team, providing sanctions advice to Business aligned sanctions teams across the globe, managing breaches, regulatory disclosures and exceptions to Policy. After a filling a few different roles in that team, in January 2021 I took over the leadership of it assuming responsibility of industry engagement as well. On that front, I have just completed a 2 and half year rotation, as co-chair of the UK Finance Sanctions Panel.
