Ben Moore heads up the National Crime Agency’s response to the crossovers between Serious & Organised Crime and economic and national security issues. Sitting across the NCA’s operational response to sanctions and the work of internal and xHMG policy leads for the UK’s sanction regimes, Ben’s current role allows him privileged insight into both the achievements and the challenges linked to the implementation and enforcement of the UK’s sanctions regimes; of law enforcement and private sector partners alike.

A tax inspector turned criminal justice professional, Ben has over 15 years’ experience in enforcement and compliance in HMRC and the NCA, majoring on Illicit Finance and Organised Crime. Prior to this role, a varied career has included large business relationship management, departmental governance & strategic leadership roles, heading an operational “Branch” command of 200 and even a brief stint pursuing fugitives across East Africa.
