Brian is the global lead for Sanctions Advisory and Senior Advisor for Geopolitical Risk at UBS, responsible for ensuring compliance with U.S. and international economic sanctions and export controls. He previously served on the UN Security Council’s 1267 (Al-Qaida and Taliban) Sanctions Monitoring Team and as Attorney-Advisor at the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of the General Counsel – Office of the Chief Counsel for Foreign Assets Control. He also practiced law at Arnold & Porter in Washington, D.C. and headed the Americas/IB sanctions team at Barclays.
