He has c.25 years of Financial Crimes Compliance experience in supervision, enforcement, advisory, policy development and legislative drafting, acquired through a variety of roles in both a private sector and governmental setting. Shahmeem has the ICA industry certification for MLROs (with a rarely awarded distinction grade) and the ICA Diploma in Money Laundering. He is a (former) Financial Action Task Force Assessor (FATF) on behalf of the UK. Shahmeem is also a Barrister and a New York Attorney.
