Julien is Head of Intelligence at carbon exchange and solutions provider Climate Impact X, where his role involves managing the data business and leading efforts to design standard tradable instruments and benchmarks. He has spent 17 years observing, analysing and pricing commodity markets, including 14 years at S&P Global Commodity Insights. During that time, he managed benchmarks and teams of pricing analysts, in markets including iron ore, steel, met coal, aluminium, copper, battery metals, biofuels, wheat and corn. He has played a key role in the launch and management of several global and regional commodity price benchmarks and has extensive experience in pricing, risk management, market intelligence, data services and strategy. Before working at S&P, he wrote a specialized newsletter focusing on French private equity, tracking details of buyout and VC transactions and industry trends.
