Chris joined Vitruvian in 2018 as General Counsel. In 2019, he was also appointed as Chief Compliance Officer (UK Senior Manager Function 16), Money Laundering Reporting Officer (UK Senior Manager Function 17) and Chief Risk Officer. In 2025 he assumed his current role of Senior Director – Funds & Capital Markets.
Chris is currently a member of the BVCA’s Capital Markets Working Group, Growth Capital Forum and Pensions & Private Capital Expert Panel and was previously a member of the BVCA’s Legal Committee and Invest Europe’s Financial Services / Regulatory Working Group. Prior to Vitruvian, Chris was an Executive Director and Senior Counsel at Goldman Sachs, where he supported the Merchant Banking Division, the Principal Strategic Investments Division and various Firmwide Investments. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Chris was at Slaughter and May for nine years, where he specialised in ECM and public and private M&A.
