Richard is a Senior Director in the Mergers team at the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA). He oversees the team’s work across both Phase 1 and 2 inquiries and is a decision-maker on complex Phase 1 merger cases. Richard was previously a Senior Legal Director with responsibility for legal oversight of the CMA’s mergers, markets and regulatory appeals portfolios. Before joining the CMA in 2019, he worked at a City law firm for over 10 years.
