Louise leads AFME’s Compliance, Control, Accounting and Tax Division. This includes overseeing various Committees and several wholesale markets focused working groups that support AFME members in various priorities. They include Market Abuse, Surveillance, new technology, Short selling, Financial Crime, and AML, Diversity and Inclusion, Governance and Tax and Accounting. Louise is also responsible for engagement with European regulators and supervisors.
Previously Louise worked in the Markets Policy Division at the Financial Conduct Authority, where she worked on MiFID II implementation, and was policy advisor to the Markets Practitioner and Listing Authority Advisory panels. Louise has also worked in legal and regulatory policy roles at the Electoral Commission, the Crown Prosecution Service and Ofcom.
