Sam is Head of Public Policy for EMEA and APAC at Stripe, the financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies — from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups — use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Sam leads a team of policy professionals located across Europe, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region, who advocate for the needs of the digital economy. He is also Site Lead for Stripe’s London office.

Sam is a member of the Payments Board of UK Finance, and the Financial Stability Board’s Legal, Regulatory & Supervisory Taskforce.

A policy professional with 25 years experience across the financial services and retail sectors, Sam held senior roles at one of Europe’s largest banks and an Asia-based investment bank prior to joining Stripe in 2019. He has graduate and undergraduate degrees from Oxford University.
