Stephen Fishbourne is a Partner in Addleshaw Goddard’s Financial Services Regulatory practice, specialising in financial market infrastructure, digital assets and payments regulation. Prior to joining the firm, he led the Bank of England legal team advising on the supervision of systemic payment systems, clearing houses and securities settlement systems, as well as key initiatives including the Digital Securities Sandbox, systemic stablecoin regimes and the digital pound. Drawing on both regulatory and private practice experience, Stephen advises banks, market infrastructures and fintechs on the governance, resilience and regulatory frameworks underpinning the next generation of digital financial market infrastructure.
