Matt Scott is a Senior Director in Willis Towers Watson’s Climate and Resilience Hub. He brings more than two decades of experience at the intersection of climate, finance and sustainable business. At the Bank of England, he created the formative physical, transition and liability climate risk framework, established the Bank’s Climate Hub, supported the launch of TCFD and helped to mobilise the Central Bank and Supervisors Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS). In 2018, Matt seconded into UK Government where he led the development and launch of the UK's Green Finance Strategy. Matt has a BSc in Physics, started his career in environmental science, and following an MBA at Stanford Business School, co-founded a solar energy venture and worked in impact investing at Bridges Ventures. He currently serves as a workstream co-chair of the UK’s Transition Plan Taskforce Delivery Group.
