Prior to joining the Grantham Research Institute, Josie spent two years working for the Aldersgate Group on UK policy to accelerate the private sector transition to net zero. She led the Group’s work on domestic green finance (particularly climate-related financial disclosures, transition plans and the UK Green Taxonomy), as well as household energy efficiency, nature-based solutions, planning reform and offshore wind deployment. Before joining the Aldersgate Group she was a consultant for the International Institute of Environment and Development on local climate finance. Prior to working on climate policy and research, Josie spent 6 years in the arts and culture sector, including three years at Penguin Books. She holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Sheffield and an MSc in Environment & Development from the University of Edinburgh.
