Georgios is part of the HSBC Infrastructure Finance (HIF) and has c. more than 10 years’ of experience across the power & renewables sector, focusing on debt advisory, M&A and financing in the offshore wind (fixed bottom & floating), new technologies and the energy transition sector, including nuclear power. Georgios was leading the structuring and documentation on one of the first pre-commercial floating offshore wind projects financed on non-recourse basis. He has worked in more than 10GW of offshore wind projects as adviser and lender, deployed more than GBP2.5bn capital in the offshore wind sector. Prior to joining HSBC, Georgios worked at Mizuho CIB in the Power & Advisory team and also worked for EDF in the new nuclear business, new gas assets and smart metering projects in London and Paris. Georgios holds a master’s degree in Management & Strategy from London School of Economics, a Master in Civil Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and he is a Charter Financial Analyst (CFA).
