TransFIRe
Dr Anne Velenturf is a Senior Research Fellow in Circular Economy at the University of Leeds with a visiting position at Cranfield University. Anne is a circular economy expert working on the interface of research and practice, specialising in the facilitation of transformative change. TransFIRe – the Transforming Foundation Industries Research and Innovation Hub – is a £10M programme to bring foundation industries and their communities together through interdisciplinary research, in support of resource productivity, competitiveness, climate action and equal opportunities. Our collaborative research and innovation is focused on knowledge exchange on minimal resource use in manufacturing processes, facilitating innovative industrial symbiosis, and building positive relations with communities near foundation industries' sites. Through our activities we support foundation industries to generate more value from less resources, opening new business opportunities that create green jobs and contribute to net-zero.
