Nathan is a Director working in the areas of climate response and energy at Local Partnerships. Nathan has over a decade of experience in delivering renewable energy and environmental infrastructure projects in the UK and abroad. Nathan is currently advising several public sector bodies in the development, financing and delivery of a wide variety of complex and ambitious decarbonising energy projects including renewable energy generation, district heating/cooling and energy efficiency retrofit. He is also supporting the Welsh Government consider how to help de-risk the level of upfront investment (and operational funding gaps) to support port infrastructure development and delivery for the floating offshore wind market in the Celtic Sea.

Nathan’s experience in the renewables sector includes project and corporate financing, contracting, Power Purchase Agreements, merger and acquisition and construction. He has led the financing and construction phases of several multi-megawatt renewable energy projects covering various technologies, including the financing of “subsidy free” onshore wind. He has also worked with end user customers to originate and develop route to market solutions/partnerships, including corporate PPAs and direct wires.

Nathan was previously a financial advisor at Grant Thornton advising public and private sector clients on renewable energy infrastructure projects, financing and contracts. At Grant Thornton, Nathan led on numerous energy and environment projects both in the UK and internationally across a broad range of renewable energy technologies.
