The Customer Is the Destination: EV Growth with People in Mind

Synopsis: As the EV industry shifts from rapid growth to consolidation, one factor will define who leads the future: the customer experience. In “The Customer Is the Destination,” we uncover key lessons from the past four years of EV evolution—and why success now hinges on putting people, not just technology, at the centre. A powerful reminder that in the race to electrify, it’s not just about the road—it’s about the rider.

Speaker 2

Henry Pearson, Director of Finance and Capital Markets, Octopus Electric Vehicles

Octopus EV: Making it  easy to go electric. Why you need to move quickly on EVs and what's holding us back?

Synopsis: Improvements in price, range and charging are pushing EVs towards a tipping point in adoption.

Being well-positioned ahead of this change will confer long term advantages, those who wait to "catch" the moment risk being left behind. How can you respond to early movers and new market entrants?

Speaker 3

Theo Panayi, Technical Director for eMobility, Arcadis

What's right now will not be right forever - an asset management tale

Synopsis: There is some hesitation to invest in EV infrastructure and what is inevitable is that the only thing that is guaranteed is that the technology and need from consumers will change. This talk tries to contextualise this change pulling from different industries and why trying to predict the future and build tomorrows infrastructure today is harder than you think. We want transition to zero emission fleets so if that means that assets are superseded by new tech,  then having the right approach and tools can help this change happen in a more controlled manner which is what users, investors, regulators and businesses want.
