THE FUTURE OF UK FINANCIAL SERVICES REGULATION SUMMIT – 27 SEPTEMBER 2022

This event examined the government’s drive to develop a distinctively UK regulatory regime . At the macro level, this included its pledge to remove unnecessary EU legislation from the statute book and to shift to a more traditionally UK approach to regulation, reflecting the benefits of our common law system. The objective was to give greater freedom to the regulators to set their own rules with the intention of making them nimbler and more responsive.

THE FUTURE OF UK FINANCIAL SERVICES REGULATION SUMMIT – 8 FEBRUARY 2022

The summit explored HM Treasury’s and the FCA’s preliminary plans to set out a clear framework for a new regulatory regime for the financial markets which would sweep away many of the compromises of the EU regulations and create new opportunities for the UK markets to thrive. It was a unique forum to enable senior management in financial institutions to assess the impact of the new regime and position their organisations to take advantage of the opportunities it presents.
