Laura has more than a decade’s experience of shaping policy for financial and related professional services across areas from capital markets and retail investment to regulation and competitiveness. She works closely with industry leaders, government and regulators in the UK and internationally to identify practical solutions to complex policy challenges that drive growth and investment. Her work has contributed to the delivery of major reforms, including securing a secondary growth and competitiveness objective for UK regulators, influencing post-Brexit immigration reforms and improving regulatory efficiency.

Laura’s internationally facing work has seen her lead several international initiatives, including for TheCityUK’s Anglo-European Dialogues. She has also played a key role in strengthening relationships between policymakers, regulators and market participants across major financial centres.

Prior to joining TheCityUK, she spent several years in the charity and public sectors, where she worked with vulnerable children, families and individuals facing complex social challenges, fostering a lifelong commitment to public service and meaningful change.
