Synopsis
The 3rd Annual Climate Transition Plans Summit, organised by City & Financial Global, will take place in London on 24 March 2025. Building on the success of previous editions, it will provide practical guidance on all aspects of drafting and using a transition plan, from the perspective both of the company itself and that of the users of transition plans, such as banks, investors and other stakeholders.
The expert speaker panel at the summit will provide a detailed analysis of all the key issues in this rapidly developing area. Discussions will explore how the IFRS will work towards developing a global standard for transition plans now that the policy-setting baton has been passed to it by the Transition Plan Taskforce. Panels and presentations will examine the future of nature in transition planning, the integration of transition finance, and the impact of the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive on UK companies. Best practice for drafting transition plans will be shared through practical case studies, while other sessions will address legal considerations, metrics and targets, and the emerging assurance markets for transition plans.
