Bankers for Net Zero convenes the UK Country Chapter of the UN-convened Net Zero Banking Alliance. The initiative brings together banks, businesses, policymakers and regulators to define and implement the interventions needed to accelerate the UK economy’s transition to net zero. Our focus is strategic policy alignment. By creating clarity on which areas of the net zero transition require policies that can optimise the contribution banks and financial institutions can make to the real economy, we enable both policymakers and banks to play their part in accelerating the transition to net zero.

The Green Finance Institute is at the forefront of shaping how finance can be used to facilitate real economy transition. We create the enabling environments and financial solutions needed to accelerate the transition to a net-zero and nature positive economy. We test, demonstrate, and scale financial solutions across sectors and geographies, with a tenacious focus on practical outcomes. Often, this involves operationalising pioneering concepts and breaking down barriers to action to enable capital to move between two counterparties.
Our aim is always the same: to fill the execution gap by ensuring that capital flows to the initiatives that make the biggest difference to the real economy.
